Thursday we celebrated Thanksgiving. It was also my family's first Thanksgiving without my daddy. The days leading up to it were about as hard as anyone could imagine. I dreaded not being with my family on Thanksgiving. But, the Lord saw me through. He blessed me with Peace to get through that day without a single breakdown. Sure, I cried, but it was nothing like I thought it would be. We spent the day with my in-loves (Brady's family) and every time I saw Jayden play with his Papa, I thought I was going to lose it, to be quite honest. It reminded me of how proud my dad was of all 9 of his grandchildren. Oh he loved them all so very much! And as I would start thinking, the tears would slowly come down, but then in an instant, God would pick me up, brush my knees off and say "you're ok."
So I'm blogging to tell you that I've never been one to make Thanksgiving Day a huge deal, but this year, I'm definitely thankful for Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for my family that I still have here to hug and love. I'm thankful for my in-loves, Angela, Kal & Jena for the many things they have blessed me with. I'm thankful for the thoughtful friends that I have, that have prayed for me as the holiday drew closer and closer. I'm thankful that God has blessed me with such a caring husband and an easy going child. I'm thankful for the home we have to raise our child(ren) in. I'm thankful for the wonderful church God has put us in, he's showed us that it's just as good as our last one. I'm thankful that I can blog about anything, to vent, to write about whatever and I'm not killed for it. But most of all, I am thankful and blessed for having a personal relationship with Christ. I'm not perfect and I sure don't make it out to be, but somehow through all of my heartache and pain, love and laughter, he completely blesses my life.
God Bless each of you!
Until next time!

Diving into the Word
The last few weeks I have been doing "ok", but not great because I was missing something that I used to cling to for EVERYTHING. Then a few days ago I felt a tug at my heart strings, and it was God, he was telling me I needed to get back into his Word. He said "you need it for you, for Jayden, for Brady and for the rest of your family. If you don't get back in, you and I won't have that relationship we used to." I was like "ok, whatever, I'll see if I have time."
Then yesterday at my MOPS meeting, Mama Monda was talking about the words we use, and how we say them. She pointed out a few scriptures and I listened (even if it didn't seem like it since I was chasing a tot around). Then she read a book in James--I LOVE the book of James because he's so blunt--anyway, God tapped me on my shoulder AGAIN, said the same thing he said the other day, but this time I listened.
Woke up this morning with the yearning to "dive into the Word" and my verse for today is:
"Casting all your anxiety on Him, because he cares for you" 1 Peter 5:7
I NEEDED this!! I mean, I really did. God is beyond amazing, I've never doubted it, but it's hard to remember it when you've just lost someone close to you.
Have you dived into the Word this morning? If not, make it your FIRST priority, even before getting your daily dose of coffee.
Hope y'all have a blessed day!!

Missing my Daddy
It's taken me 2 weeks to write this and I can't guarantee I'll be getting through this without tears.
My daddy went to be with Jesus on September 14, 2013. He was 60 years old, married to his best friend for almost 40 years and had 2 daughters, Christine & me (Kimberly).
Although he's no longer with us here on Earth, I find comfort in knowing that I'll see him again one day in Heaven.
My Sis and I were blessed more than ever to care for him the last 2 weeks of his life. I'm really thankful for that time and the many conversations we had on our way home from dialysis Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. My dad wasn't one of those guys that wanted help, he always wanted to do it himself, but I'm so very thankful that he let us care for him. After all, he cared for us growing up.
I miss him more than anything and it's moments like right now, as I sit in a room, nursing my sweet Jayden, that I start reminiscing and I start crying. He was a handsome man, loving and also very stubborn, (hmm, wonder where I get that from ;)) he also knew history, was goofy, loved making songs up about farting, (lol) best of all, he was a Christian, a fellow believer in Christ! He was a wonderful daddy, the best dad I could have ever asked for! I'm thankful for all the wonderful memories we shared as a family. I'm so very thankful he was able to be apart of Jayden's life for 11 1/2 months!
Thank you daddy for everything you taught me! You are greatly missed! I love you more than you'll ever know!

Cleaning time!
Lysol Power & Free
Have you tried this stuff yet? I suggest you do! It works great in the bathroom or anywhere else that needs some cleaning! I cleaned the bathrooms last week with this & they're still clean! Best part? I was able to clean while Jayden was in there with me & you couldn't even smell harsh chemicals! So, what are you waiting for? Go out and get you some of this awesome stuff!

Pics of Jayden!
Jayden's Almost One!
It's crazy seeing how much Jayden is growing up! He'll be 11 months old on the 25th (this coming Sunday)! He's currently trying to stand on his own and he's taken a few steps, nothing too serious though! Everyone always says that we don't need to rush it, but the thing is, he's doing all of this! It's not us at all!
Next month we will be celebrating his first birthday with family & friends and I'm sending out invites this weekend! The theme is Sock Monkey! I've had a blast planning this party! I'm sure one of these days when he's a lot older, I won't get to choose his theme for him, so for now, I'm enjoying it ;)
We CAN'T wait to celebrate this day with all of you!! More blogging later, right now I am going to do my quiet time! Also I haven't been blogging as much because my battery in my laptop is dead & I'm waiting on a new one!
Have a blessed day!
