In loving memory

Tonight we had a memorial for my nephew, Jaron Truth Salinas who was born silent on May 17, 2012. It was a beautiful memorial service. The music was beautiful and the message was as well. You may wonder what Jaron Truth means, but before I get into the story of that, let me give you a little background on our son's name and the meaning of his name.

Before Brady and I decided we wanted to try for children, we already had names picked out. We chose Jayden Kent for many reasons. Jay is my dad's name, and we wanted to incorporate his name into our son's name. Kent is Brady's and his dad's middle name, so we wanted to carry on the tradition. One day, shortly after we found out we were having a boy, I decided to go see what his name meant. Jayden means "God has heard." I sat there questioning and thinking to myself "what specifically has God heard?"

Shortly after we found out the sex of our child, we then found out that my sisters baby (sex unknown at the time) was not going to grow up with all of his/her siblings. When he was born silently on May 17th, they found out he was a boy. By this time, they had picked out names. So when they went with Jaron Truth, I thought "oh that's a beautiful name." I hadn't put the 2 names together until just recently.

I couldn't for the life of me remember what my own son's name meant, so I decided to go look it up once again. After confirming the meaning, the light bulb went off in my head. I finally understood what God had heard! Jaron's name means "He's singing Truth" and I firmly believe that God had heard that he's singing truth!!!! He knew all along that not only would both boy's names start with a "J", but that the meaning of their names would go hand in hand. It fit perfectly together, like a puzzle..handcrafted by God himself.

Please continue to keep my sister, Christine and her family in your prayers. Although Jaron is singing praises to the Lord right now, we all still miss him here on Earth.

Have a wonderful evening and until next time, God Bless You.
